So, I want to make sure that she’s safe,” Johnson said.There were also no lines at the new site-run state launched Wednesday at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore City. It marks quite a change from earlier in the month when people were waiting in line for hours to get tested.”That was ridiculous. I would not be here if that was the case. I would not stand in line,” Johnson said.According to the experts at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health said the test results will eventually generate a better picture of the pandemic in Maryland.”There (are) many reasons why we know that infection is higher than the numbers that we see, but when you can’t get tested, you are less likely to go and get reported. So, we also have a lot of home testing now that doesn’t get counted in the official numbers. But that doesn’t affect, I think, our response to the pandemic,” said Dr. Amber D’Souza, a professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.The state surge sites are all walk-up only, no appointments can be made, and schedules vary by location.
