Rosalind G. Bonds, age 69, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on January 11, 2022 at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George and Rosa Bonds. She was a graduate of Germantown High School. Later, a graduate of Penn State University, Rosalind earned a bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Merchandising. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and magna cum laude. She retired in 1994 as a general manager at Sears in Harford Mall after 20 years of service.
Roz was one of the most positive and uplifting people you could ever meet. She had a quiet and kind spirit. She gleamed with serene vibrations! She was an angel right here On Earth. Even through all her health challenges, she would always have a smile on her face and took the time to help people financially, emotionally, and mentally. She was such a selfless soul; most times when she was helping others, she was dealing with her own trials. Most times she would not be well herself. You could feel Her authentic and subtle personality as soon as she’s in your presence. Everyone who met her fell in love with her. She was our Shero. She enjoyed spending time with family and gatherings, especially during the holidays. Her hobby was sewing. She could make anything. She loved playing tennis and going to tennis camps in the earlier years. She loved the Lord and became a member of the Edgewood Assembly of God. Every Wednesday, you would find her sending out a prayer request for a member that was ill or anyone. It was so important to her. She’d make sure the prayer request was taken care of even when she was sick. Also, she enjoyed fellowship and crafting with her church members.
Rosalind is survived by her sister, Anor Bonds-Jenkins (Bryan); brothers, George Bonds and William S. Bonds, Sr.; nephews, William S. Bonds, Jr., Malik P. Bonds, Andrew Bonds, Charles Williams and Jericho Bonds; nieces and nephews, Rosalind Leggett, Tahj, Niera, Quinton & Miranda Bonds; great-nieces & nephews, Kingston, Maliya, Ivy & William III, and a host of cousins: Friends, Sherry, Deidra, Sandy & Lynn; and a host of other friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Chester Bonds.
